Attaching Google Drive Files
The product details and events detail panel is where you are able to attach files stored in Google Drive to a product in AgileRoadMapp.
To attach a file from Google Drive:
- Select the paperclip icon.
- Select Choose File from Google Drive and a new window will be displayed that allows you to log in to your Google account if you are not currently logged in.
- If it's the first time that you are attaching a Google Drive file, then you will be prompted to connect your Google account to AgileRoadMapp.
You will also be promoted to allow AgileMapp to access your basic Google profile information. This only allows AgileMapp and Google Drive to communicate so that your Google drive files are accessible from within AgileMapp. Google has very strict security controls for this type of integration.
AgileRoadMapp's integration with Google Drive relies on Google's security and file permissions, so you may need to also enable sharing of the file in Google Drive.
If you’re using Google Drive with your individual ‘gmail.com’ address, as opposed to a Google Apps account, you’ll have to administer permissions for each individual document in Google Drive.
Removing someone from a product that you own in AgileRoadMapp does not revoke any of their Google Drive permissions if you have shared documents with them in Google Drive.
AgileRoadMapp does not store a copy of the document. Your documents continue to be stored in your cloud storage platform, but are easily accessible while you are working in AgileRoadMapp or using AgileRoadMapp to review a product's roadmap with team members or customers.
